Nesa Software Pvt Ltd +91 7593 833663 info@nesasoftware.com Company Profile Senior Test Engineer Senior Test Engineer / Test Lead Job Title: Senior Test Engineer / Test Lead Location: Kochi – Kakkanad Work Mode: On-site Experience: 3–5 years in embedded systems testing and automation Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time Working Days: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM Candidate Preference: Male candidates only Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer / Test Lead to take ownership of automated testing infrastructure for servo drives. The ideal candidate will build and maintain a pytest-based automation framework, conduct regression testing against physical servo hardware, manage test infrastructure and CI pipelines, and serve as the primary technical point of contact for day-to-day testing operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Automation & Regression Testing: * Run daily regression testing of firmware and software tooling against physical servo joints. * Ensure thorough test coverage of servo drives. * Build, maintain, and enhance the pytest-based automation framework. * Develop automated tests that interact with real servo hardware. 2. Test Infrastructure: * Maintain and operate servo joint test benches and physical hardware racks. * Own test infrastructure and CI pipelines. * Manage nightly automated test runs and test result reporting. 3. Team Leadership & Mentoring: * Drive testing operations independently as the primary technical point of contact. * Mentor and provide technical guidance to 3–4 junior engineers. * Support the technical growth and development of the testing team. 4. Lab & Equipment Management: * Ensure lab safety and proper handling of testing equipment. * Support equipment procurement and maintenance. * Work safely with electromechanical systems and physical hardware. Required Qualifications & Skills: * 3–5 years of experience in embedded systems testing and automation. * Strong proficiency in Python. * Hands-on experience with pytest or an equivalent testing framework. * Solid experience with Git/version control. * Familiarity with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins. * Good understanding of software engineering practices including code reviews, documentation, and issue tracking. * Comfortable working with electromechanical systems and hand tools. * Ability to work safely with electrical systems. * Basic soldering skills. * Fluent written and spoken English. * B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering preferred. Nice to Have: * Experience with motion control systems. * Exposure to robotics. * Experience with motor controllers. * Experience working with servo drives or similar electromechanical systems. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in embedded test automation, Python, pytest, CI/CD, and physical hardware testing, along with the ability to independently manage testing operations and mentor junior engineers. Compensation: Maximum Budget: ₹1,00,000 per month, depending on experience, technical expertise, and suitability for the role.
